Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said that after years of effort and sacrifice, the dream of building Ram Mandir seemed possible. Bhagwat was addressing a gathering of 2,000 Hindu saints, mutt heads and VHP leaders from across the country, during 'Dharma Sansad’ in coastal Karnataka’s Udupi.
'Dharma Sansad' is a three-day internal conference, where issues such as the construction of Ram temple, prevention of religious conversions and cow protection are set to be discussed. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to attend the conference on Sunday.
"Only Ram Mandir will be constructed and nothing else. It will be constructed there only,” he said.
Claiming that the temple would constructed just how it was earlier and using the same stones, he said there is need for public awareness about the temple’s history. "We are close to achieving our goal but at this juncture, we should be extra cautious."
Talking about gau rakhshaks Bhagwat said, “People are trying to defame our gau-rakshaks. To safeguard the cow is our tradition. People should actively safeguard our cows.” He said that gau rakshaks were people who were concerned for cows, leading to conflict and a bad name to cow protectors.
