In a dramatic ‘escape’, an AIADMK MLA scaled a wall of the Golden Bay Resort, where several legislators supporting party General Secretary VK Sasikala were holed up, to join the camp of Acting Chief Minister O Panneerselvam.

This incident occurred on the same day that the Tamil Nadu Police submitted a report to the Madras High Court, saying that legislators supporting Sasikala were not being held captive at a beach resort near Chennai.

SS Saravanan, who represents Madurai South, landed up at Acting Chief Minister O Panneerselvam's residence, where he told the media about his escapade.

Stating that he scaled up a wall and jumped down, Saravanan also said that he had to disguise himself and change his ‘get up’ to escape from the beach resort.

He added that he wore a Bermuda and T shirt, so that he could escape.

His escape came on a day when Sasikala decided to visit the beach resort again for the third day, and subsequently spend the night there. Saravanan is said to have escaped before Sasikala’s arrival.

He also told the media that if there was a floor test in the Assembly, Panneerselvam would get overwhelming support from the legislators.

With this, the number of legislators supporting Panneerselvam has gone up to seven.

Since then, another video of the MLA detailing the 'situation' at Golden Bay Resort, has also gone viral.
