After the night of horror on New Year's Eve in Bengaluru, Karanataka's Home Minister had taken it upon himself to defend the city police's ineptitude in being able to stop mass molestation of women by drunk mobs in different parts of the city.
In an interview that was flashed several times on television channels, G Parameshwara had said on camera, in clear words:
But on Thursday, the Minister said that he was misquoted in his statement’s on the city’s horrific incidents on NYE, as if denying that he did not casually say on camera “these kind of things happen”.
Moreover, the top Minister said that the entire episode was a “conspiracy” to defame the city's Congress government and Bengaluru in general, India Today reported.
