A 54-year-old lady was allegedly gangraped and assaulted in Karnal on 14 August. She is currently undergoing treatment in Rohtak. The police have registered a case and investigation underway.

Trump Hits Back at China With More Tariffs Amid Escalating Trade War
US President Donald Trump on Friday, 23 August announced to raise existing and planned tariffs on Chinese products in retaliation for Beijing's announcement earlier in the day of new duties on American goods.
“Starting on October 1st, the 250 BILLION (US) DOLLARS of goods and products from China, currently being taxed at 25 per cent, will be taxed at 30 per cent,” Trump said in a statement to the White House press corp.
“Additionally, the remaining 300 BILLION (US) DOLLARS of goods and products from China, that was being taxed from September 1st at 10 per cent, will now be taxed at 15 per cent. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” said the US president in his unusual statement, portions of which were in capital letters.

Suspected to be Myanmar Nationals, Woman, Child held in UP
A woman and her four-year-old daughter, suspected to be Myanmar nationals, have been detained in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district.
Police said they were taken into custody from Thanabhawan town in the district on Friday for questioning.
The woman (23) and her child are suspected to be Myanmar nationals and they have been taken into custody for further investigation, said Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar.

North Macedonia Van Crash Kills Migrant,12 Others Injured
North Macedonia police say a 20-year old migrant from Bangladesh was killed and 12 others injured when a van packed with migrants collided with a truck on the main highway in the south.
Police said Saturday that a van with 13 migrants hit the rear of the truck near the town of Demir Kapija late Friday and caught fire.

Physiotherapists to March Seeking National Council in Gujarat
Around 1,500 physiotherapists from across the country will launch a ten-day 254-km march from Dandi in south Gujarat to Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad on Sunday demanding a national council for the profession, organisers said.
The 'Physio Swaraj March' will trace the route of the historic Dandi March of Gandhiji which began on 30 March 1929, one of the organisers said.
