With the Bihar elections around the corner, The Quint brings you some numbers from the state. A total of 6.68 cr voters will be eligible to vote in the five phase poll that kicks off on 12th October.

Caste may still dominate Bihar’s voting patterns with Other Backward Castes (OBC) and Most Backward Classes (MBCs) comprising 45 percent of Bihar’s electorate. But the youth vote could upset traditional caste maths. In 2015, 27 percent of the voting population is below the age of 30.
