Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns home after the 2-day trip to the UAE. Here are the highlights of his visit

After a successful 2-day visit to the UAE, Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned home on Tuesday morning. The visit saw both sides come down heavily on countries sponsoring terrorism against other states. The two sides decided to elevate the India-UAE relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership and chart out a new course for cooperation in key areas like trade and investment, defence, security, maritime security and intelligence sharing. It was after 34 years that an Indian Prime Minister was visiting the UAE. Indira Gandhi was the last one to visit in 1981.
