If God is to blame for calamities, then who is to blame for God? India’s search for justice and guilt in the aftermath of Kolkata’s Vivekananda Road flyover collapse led us to the highest circles of ‘real’ power in India.

Anyone who was anyone had a say in the tragedy of the Kolkata flyover collapse. While TMC resolutely denied having any complicity with God in the collapse of the flyover, or any other infrastructural inadequacies across West Bengal, the BJP and right-wing leaders descended upon the state to promise better flyovers and better Gods for the people to blame.
