BJP is leading in Dwarka municipality in Devbhumi Dwarka district, reported the Indian Express.
Of 74 municipalities, BJP leading in reportedly leading in 37, Congress in 26. Other candidates are leading in four municipalities, reported Zee News.
The Congress has won 13 out of 28 seats of Dhandhuka municipality, while the BJP won 9 seats.
Congress has won the Rajula municipality in Amreli district, reported TV9 Gujarat.
BJP has reportedly won the Dhrol municipality in Jamnagar district. This municipality was earlier held by the Congress.
TV9 Gujarati, quoting an Election Commission report and said that the BJP has won 26 municipalities while the Congress bagged eight seats.
The BJP won Kheralu and Vijapur municipalities along with Vadnagar in the Mehsana district.
As reported Times of India, the BJP has won 47 of the state's 75 municipal seats, while the Congress has reportedly bagged 16 seats.
Additionally, the report adds, 4 seats were won by independent candidates, 1 by the BSP and 1 by the NCP. No party received a majority in 6 of the seats.
The report also mentions that the two district panchayats that went to the polls, Banaskantha and Kheda, have both gone with the BJP.
Results for 74 municipalities, two district panchayats, 17 talukas and 1,400 village panchayats in Gujarat were declared on Monday, 19 January. While the BJP lead in 47 out of 75 municipal seats that include Dhrol ad Vadnagar, the Congress won 16. Four seats were claimed by independent parties, while the BSP and NCP bagged 1 each.
The elections for 74 municipalities were held on Saturday, 17 February.
