Days after announcing he would return to active politics after a two month hiatus, ruling AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary TTV Dhinakaran on Friday said that “no one can stop him” from party work.
Dhinakaran’s assertion assumes significance after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palanisamy-led camp kept him away from the party as well as government activities.
He added that a merger between both the factions of the warring AIADMK is on the cards.
Dhinakaran announced he would undertake a state-wide tour from 14 August to “strengthen” the party.
He expressed confidence that Tamil Nadu ministers and senior party leaders would take part in the tour with him. However, the O Paneerselvam-led AIADMK faction has not announced of participation in the tour.
Dhinakaran returned to Chennai after a Delhi Court granted him bail in the Election Commission bribery case.
