The fraying threads in the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance have come to the fore yet again, with senior Sena leader Sanjay Raut lashing out at the BJP and holding the ruling party accountable for price rises and farmers’ issues.

Following a meeting at the Sena headquarters, on 18 September ANI quoted Raut as saying: “Unprecedented price rise, farmer issues unresolved. We are not responsible and don't want to share the blame. Whether we will stay in the government or withdraw, this will be decided soon”.

He further took to Twitter to criticise the BJP.

The Sena has seldom shied away from criticising the BJP, often expressing its displeasure with its NDA ally through party mouthpiece Saamana.
