Shatrughan Sinha Congratulates Nitish and Lalu
I had tried telling my party to refrain from doing ‘negative’ politics. Despite all my efforts and coming from the masses I wasn’t called during elections. I want to congratulate Nitishji and Laluji for the victory. I would request my party to introspect its shortcoming and take action. Accountability must be fixed by the party and it will be fixed.

Mandate-ory Press Conference: Lalu Trains Guns on Delhi, Nitish Says People’s Mandate Reflects Mood of Nation
Yahan koi jhanjhat nhi hai, asli jhanjhat hum karne wale hain Delhi ki gaddi par... Narendra Modi ji, Pradhanmantri naam ke hain, wo sangh ke prachaarak hain... BJP koi party nahi, woh ek mukhauta hai. There will be long term implications of the Bihar result on the country. Efforts were made to communalize the society, but the people of Bihar defeated that attempt. BJP had its eyes on Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. It wanted to move eastwards, Bihar has stopped them in their tracks.
People of Bihar have shown, there was no neck and neck fight. We got support from all sections of the society... I’m thankful to the people of Bihar... There was an aggressive campaign during the election. But the people of Bihar have used their intelligence and given the mandate. We humbly accept the victory, this shows the aspiration of the people for the development of Bihar. We understand that, and we will work according to the aspiration of the people. We won’t have any animosity against anybody. We will work together, without any ill-will.

Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar exchange hugs at the RJD headquarters in Patna. The RJD chief, while addressing a chaotic press conference, says that Nitish Kumar will continue as Chief Minister. Here’s what he said,
We convey our thanks to the people of Bihar. We will take Bihar forward on the development path under Nitish Kumar’s leadership. We will bring the downtrodden and the backward back to the mainstream... Nitish Kumar will run the government... My prediction was right... The women of Bihar have shown unprecedented support. We will fulfil their expectations.

Who Said What
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar has confidently stated a win for the BJP whereas RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav has said “Good morning, we are winning,” early this morning.
We are absolutely sure of our win in Bihar. Women have voted in large numbers. Poor want development and they have confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Union Minister of Environment, Prakash Javadekar
When the results will start flowing in, we are sure of a full majority. Lalu ji has played a key role in Bihar politics, good or bad that is debatable. I also wish Lalu ji a very good morning.
