Sisodia meets Amanatullah Khan

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tonight met party's Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan, hours after he was suspended from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Confirming the development, Khan said Sisodia had come to his residence to meet him, but did not reveal the purpose of the deputy chief minister's visit.

Kejriwal-Vishwas Strike Compromise

Celebrations broke out outside Kejriwal’s residence as the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting concluded. In the meeting, which lasted for three hours at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence, a decision was made to give greater responsibility to Kumar Vishwas.

He (Vishwas) will be Rajasthan’s party in-charge as the state goes to polls next year.

Amanatullah refused to comment on suspension.

The suspension is seen as a compromise after Vishwas had threatened to quit the party. The AAP has also set up a disciplinary committee to look into the statements made by Khan against Vishwas.

AAP's Top Brass Leaders Meet to Discuss Key Points

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas on Wednesday arrived at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence to attend the party's political affairs committee (PAC) meeting.

Ashutosh and Manish Sisodia also attended the meeting which was aimed at taking key decisions on the infighting and structural changes in the organisation, and addressing Kumar’s unhappiness with the party.

Vishwas put forward conditions before the AAP which included not compromising on corruption, addressing grievances of workers and engaging with them, according to media reports.

Hope Kumar Vishwas Will Put Grievances Aside: Arvind Kejriwal

Speaking to media late on Tuesday, Arvind Kejriwal expressed hope that Kumar Vishwas will put his grievances aside for the party.

In a bid to pacify Vishwas, Kejriwal on Tuesday night had visited his house in Ghaziabad where senior AAP leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh, were already present. After a brief talk, Kejriwal left for his residence at Civil Lines along with Vishwas.

Kumar Vishwas is Taking Matters Personally: Manish Sisodia

Manish Sisodia, along with senior leaders Sanjay Singh and Alka Lamba, had visited Kumar Vishwas at his Ghaziabad residence on Monday, but the latter refused to attend the PAC meeting till Amanatullah Khan was sacked, Sisodia said in a press statement on Tuesday.

Responding to Vishwas' emotional outburst on Tuesday, Sisodia said, "AAP does not belong to any individual. It belongs to lakhs of members. He refused to come to PAC meeting yesterday.”

He added that such issues should not be made into a personal fight, but must be raised at a proper forum like the PAC meeting of the party.

He also responded to Vishwas' statement that he would not apologise for the video where he has allegedly attacked Kejriwal for his silence on corruption within the party, by saying that no one asked Vishwas to apologise for anything.

'I Was Accused of Being a BJP Agent': Vishwas

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) founding member Kumar Vishwas on Tuesday accused its leaders of conspiring against him, and said he won't compromise with his principles and will soon take a call on his future action.

"A legislator accused me of being a BJP agent," said Vishwas.

I thought that had he said the same thing about my friend Arvind (Kejriwal), he would have been thrown out of the party in ten minutes, along with being investigated... However when he said it again yesterday (Monday), I realised he is only a mask, it’s someone else speaking from behind it.

His emotional appeal came a day after Amanatullah Khan resigned from the party’s PAC. Khan had alleged that Vishwas was trying to "usurp" the AAP – and that he harboured ambitions of leading the party.

"I know I will be targeted. The efforts to tarnish my image will be made. But let me tell those conspirators that I will not allow you to do so," Vishwas told reporters without taking any names.

He denied that he wanted to be the AAP convener.

I have already said 10 times and even to Arvind (Kejriwal) and Manish (Sisodia) and the party that I don’t want to be the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister or the Convenor.

Vishwas also said that he would not join any political party or the Swaraj Andolan. He broke down while talking to reporters, saying: "I don't know why you are here... but I had not joined the movement for this."
