The Mumbai Police has filed a case against a Trustee of a school, a German-origin Indian, on Monday for allegedly sodomising and raping two kindergarten children. According to News18, the accused, has fled the country to Germany.

He has been booked for alleged sexual abuse of a boy and a girl, both about 3.5 years old inside the school premises.

A police officer privy to the investigation spoke to Hindustan Times:

In rape cases its highly important that the incident is reported to us immediately. The victim’s mother alleged that the incident took place after Diwali last year...She found out about it in May, following which she came to us and we registered an FIR. It will be quite a task for us to gather scientific evidence now. However, the victim is identifying the accused as per her mother’s statement in the FIR.

A female teacher, who allegedly took the kids to the trustee’s office, has also been reportedly named in the case. The police, who have booked the case on the complaint of the parents, are waiting for medical reports before they proceed with the arrest.

The accused holds an Indian passport and is married to an Indian national. He has been living in India for about 25 to 30 years.

While the accused is currently in Germany, his visa is expected to expire on 30 June, following which he will be bound to return to India.
