India’s boxing star Vijender Singh asserted that he is confident of beating Zulpikar Maimaitiali of China in their double title fight on 5 August and maintain his all-win record.

I am eagerly waiting for Saturday as it’s going to be a perfect 9-0 and for me. It’s fighting time, I’m fit and I’m ready. Zulpikar has been talking a lot these days. Now I will close his mouth and knock him out to win the double title fight. I know it’s not an easy fight, but I am confident that with my hard work I will win it for my country and our Chinese counterpart will return home empty-handed

Vijender, who has won all of his previous eight fights in pro boxing, holds the WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight title, while Zulpikar – another undefeated boxer – is the current WBO Oriental Super Middleweight champion.

The winner of Saturday's fight will take over the title of his opponent while retaining his current title, thus becoming the Numero Uno boxer across two weight categories.
