After the disqualification of 20 MLAs of the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has penned an open letter to the citizens of the national capital alleging that the Centre is harassing the Delhi government on purpose.
While recounting the work done by the Aam Aadmi Party in the past 3 years, Sisodia has alleged that this is not the first time the Centre is deliberately maligning the image of the party.
Further alleging that these MLAs have been disqualified by the Election Commission on false grounds, the letter said that they were not given any chance to prove their case.
Sisodia further alleged that it was a conspiracy as the BJP government cannot digest the pace with which Delhi was developing under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s government. He also alleged that this was done so that Delhi has to face by-elections and all the development work in the capital comes to a halt.
Ending the letter on an emotional note, he appealed to the citizens to come to the party’s rescue.
In a major setback to the Aam Aadmi Party, President Ram Nath Kovind has disqualified 20 of its MLAs in Delhi for allegedly holding offices of profit.
Kovind gave his assent to the recommendation by the Election Commission (EC) to disqualify the 20 AAP MLAs.
