A day after a Hyderabad court sentenced all five convicted in the Dilsukhnagar twin blasts case to death, AIMIM chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi questioned if there was communal bias in the pace of the terror case.
The special NIA court on Monday sentenced all the five terrorists of Indian Mujahideen including Yasin Bhatkal to death, even as the prime accused and the key conspirator Riyaz Bhatkal remains out of bounds.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday morning, Owaisi asked if the NIA is pursuing other bomb blast cases with non-Muslim accused in the same way.
However, the MP said in a subsequent tweet, “Dilsukhnagar blast courts have given a verdict which must be accepted, terrorist should be punished.”
In his previous tweet made on Tuesday morning, he asked why the accused in terror cases of the likes of MM Masjid, Ajmer and Malegaon blasts were not convicted in a swift fashion.
Owaisi also asked why the same urgency was not shown in other case, citing the Babri Masjid demolition case, which is pending in courts since 1992.
