Woman Catches Hold of Chain Snatcher, Twitter Says ‘What a Lady!’

Many hailed the woman for being brave enough to act instantly. One Twitter user wrote, “Instant justice.”

A miscreant tried to snatch the chain from a woman in Delhi but was beaten up by the woman and a lot of people on the road.

A woman in Delhi's Nangloi put up a fight when a miscreant on a bike tried to snatch her chain and subsequently escape. The act, caught on camera, shows that the incident took place on 30 August. The video is doing the rounds on the Internet, and many are praising the woman and calling her "courageous".

The chain snatchers were later arrested by the police, reported ANI.

In the video, the woman can be seen travelling on a rickshaw with a girl. As they get off and are about to cross the road, two men approach on a bike and snatch the woman's chain. She is immediately prompted to action, catching hold of the man, pulling him off the bike and beating him. Soon, pedestrians swarm to the site and thrash the man.

The video was posted by several Twitter users. Many hailed the woman's bravery in acting instantly. "Bravo," tweeted one, while one said, "Instant justice."

Some have drawn comparisons between the woman and Kangana Ranaut's character in 'Queen' who, upon encountering a similar situation, fights the miscreant with all her might.
