In a horrific case that has instilled fear locally, a woman's headless body was found in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr on Friday, with the head being found the next day around 50 kms away at Anoopshahr.

The victim, who was found with a white top and light brown pants in the Utrawali village, is yet to be identified, reported The Indian Express.

“The post-mortem report has ruled out any form of sexual violence since there were no injuries on the private parts. There appears to be no signs of struggle since there are no injury marks on the skin. The only visible wounds are on the hands and neck.”
N Kolanchi, Senior Superintendent of Police, Bulandshahr, to The Indian Express

According to the police, the head of victim may have been kept by the accused for a day. To solve the case, helplines numbers have been made available and missing persons complaints are being tallied, but no significant headway has been made as of yet.
