Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, arrived in Jaisalmer on Friday, 23 November to attend his friend Nitin Saigal’s wedding. The founding partner of the US hedge fund firm Kora Management, Nitin, was Kushner’s roommate at Harvard College and later also shared an apartment with him in New York.
Saigal is marrying Vedika Bhaskar who is Vice President at Ishatvam, a luxury home furnishing brand. She is the daughter of Delhi based industrialist, Sanjay Bhaskar.
Nitin Saigal was born and raised in India, where he studied at Cathedral & John Connon School, Mumbai. He received a BA from Harvard College and an MBA with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School. Beginning his career as an analyst at the Blackstone Group in New York, he later co-founded Kora Management and is currently the Chief Investment Officer there.
Jared Kushner, senior advisor to his father-in-law, was expected to be accompanied by his wife Ivanka Trump for the big Indian wedding. However, he was seen arriving without her, on a chartered Boeing that landed via Delhi at Jaisalmer airport. Tight security was arranged at the tiny airport as over 20 American and 100 Indian security personnel were present at his arrival.
The high-profile wedding is, reportedly, a three-day affair in Jaisalmer that will go on till November 24
