What Baffles Us about the Sheena Bora Murder Case

The questions that continue to remain unanswered about the Sheena Bora murder case and why they must be asked.

Where Has Rahul Mukerjea Been?

Rahul Mukerjea, who was in a relationship with Sheena Bora, was questioned at Khar police station on Wednesday. He has been inactive on social media for about a year now, which coincides with Sheena’s disappearance from social media. What has been his reaction to Sheena’s sudden disappearance?

Sheena and Rahul lived together. When Indrani claimed that Sheena was in the US, didn’t Rahul try to look for her, especially since Peter claims that Rahul was upset about her sudden departure? Where was she supposedly studying? Why didn’t he go to the police earlier with the news of her disappearance?

Motive

Why was Sheena Bora killed? Was it indeed a property dispute or was it in reaction to her relationship with Rahul Mukerjea? The latter, on it’s own, seems like a poor motive for murder. A stronger motive is needed to conclusively implicate the accused.

Who is Sheena’s Father?

If Mikhail is truly Indrani’s son, and Sheena her daughter, who is the father? This is important because the police think that if it was indeed a property dispute, Mikhail could be in danger. At any rate, if the father has at all been involved in Sheena and Mikhail’s life, shouldn’t he be questioned? Has he been involved in their lives?

Did Nobody Check Where Sheena Was?

Sheena was supposedly abroad, and unreachable for three years. How did everybody just accept that Sheena was abroad, especially her brother Mikhail, who said they grew up together in the same house? Even if Rahul didn’t look for her while she was missing, someone would have! Three years of social media inactivity, and no communication from her whatsoever is bound to make people suspicious. Locating her wouldn’t have been difficult; where did Indrani say Sheena was studying? It seems unlikely that people were completely unaware that she was missing.
