Just two hours after he attended the dinner hosted by Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit celebrating Pakistan National Day, the Indian Government’s representative, General VK Singh was slammed on Twitter.

As #PartyWithEnemy began to trend on Twitter amid some trolling, VK Singh let loose with a volley of tweets with the hashtags #Duty and #Disgust.

V K Singh also trained his ire onto the media. 

The dinner in New Delhi was attended by Kashmiri separatist leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, Yasin Malik, Bilal Lone and Abdul Ghani Bhat.

The Congress party’s Mani Shankar Aiyar and Rajeev Shukla were there too.

But hours after, the Congress party, perhaps sensing an opportunity slammed the government for the former Army chief’s presence at the dinner.
