‘Constable Poked My Arm’: Witness in Apple Exec Murder Case

The only witness in the Vivek Tiwari murder case, Sana Khan, has alleged that a police constable had poked her arm with a lathi at the time of the incident.

Speaking to The Times of India on Tuesday, 2 October, Khan said she had "missed out" the injury on her arm right after the incident, with her mind being "preoccupied with things going on with Sir (Vivek Tiwari)". But when she noticed it later, she told the team investigating the murder about it. The witness underwent a medical examination on Tuesday at the RML hospital.

“I have police protection as of now and I am ready to cooperate with the investigation as and when I am needed. I just hope that I will not be tortured unnecessarily from now on.”

Expressing concern over being "unemployed" now, Khan also spoke about the need for her to "restart" her life and "move on" after the traumatic incident, while asserting that she is "not a criminal".

Also speaking to ANI about the incident on Tuesday, Sana was quoted as saying:

“We were returning home when two bike-borne police personnel – Prashant and Sandeep – came from front and Prashant shot at him (Vivek Tiwari). The bullet was fired from the front. A few truck-drivers were present there, but they didn’t help.”

Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Tuesday recreated the scene of the incident at the crime spot for further investigation in the Vivek Tiwari death case.

Vivek, a 38-year-old Apple sales executive, was allegedly shot dead by two police constables – Prashant Chowdhary and Sandeep Kumar – in Lucknow's Gomti Nagar on Saturday, 29 September, for ‘refusing to stop during routine checking’.
