A complaint has been filed against Union minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey at his Lok Sabha constituency in Buxar by a sub-inspector of police, whom he had threatened in full public view for sending a notice to a local BJP worker, a senior officer said on Wednesday, 25 September.
"Is he a goonda? Does he look like a goonda? Who asked you to send him a notice calling him a goonda? If we take action against you for calling him a goonda, where will you go? Your uniform can be stripped off," Choubey said, asking him to take back the notice.
Speaking to news agency ANI later, Choubey responded to the incident, saying some BJP workers and workers of other political parties who protested against corruption and crime in 2003 were called 'goondas' by the present administration.
