Erdogan arrived in New Delhi on Sunday evening.
The visiting guests were received at the Delhi airport by Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Vijay Goel.
Erdogan will depart from India shortly before midnight on Monday. Erdogan last visited India in 2008 when he was the prime minister. This is his first foreign tour after winning a controversial referendum on 16 April that further consolidated his executive powers.

Enhancing anti-terror cooperation will be among the focus areas during the Erdogan-Modi talks. Ghanashyam said both countries have been victims of terrorism and are battling it.
After a failed coup in July last year to topple Erdogan, Turkey had blamed Fethullah Gulen for it and said the outfit has "infiltrated" India. Turkey had also asked India to take action against the organisation.
Asked about the action taken by India so far, she said Turkey had raised it with the government, which has noted their concern.
The Turkish leader said that it is in the interest of India and Pakistan that they should resolve the Kashmir issue and not leave it for the future generations who will have to suffer.
Erdogan said India and Pakistan were both friends of Turkey and he wanted to help strengthen the dialogue process among the stakeholders for resolving the Kashmir issue which has been festering for the last 70 years.
Jamia Millia Islamia will confer an honorary degree on the Turkish President. The decision, however, has not gone down well with many Jamia students who “condemned” the decision in a Change.org petition.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on him at Hotel Taj Palace, following which he attended a business event hosted by CII/Ficci/Assocham at Hotel Taj Palace.

Ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the area of counter-terrorism, India's NSG membership bid and the regional security scenario were among key issues that were understood to have been discussed during the India-Turkey Business Summit, according to official sources.
PM Modi added that the pillar of these ties is economic cooperation.

In a joint statement by President Erdogan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the two leaders spoke of strengthening cooperation for trade and to combat terror.
Erdogan also stressed on further developing collaboration between Turkish Airline and Air India.
