  • A non-bailable warrant (NBW) was issued against Gulab Singh, Aam Aadmi Party's MLA from Matiyala, by a local court after he failed to join the police investigation in an extortion case, police said on Friday.
  • Police said Singh, co-incharge of the party's Gujarat affairs, had informed Delhi police about joining the probe on 16 September, but failed to appear before the investigators.
  • An NBW against Singh was obtained from the court on Thursday evening, a senior police officer said. A case under Section 384 (punishment for extortion) of the Indian Penal Code was registered at the Bindapur police station on 13 September.
