A major accident was averted after Duronto, Hatia-Anand Vihar, and Mahabodhi Express trains were found plying on the same track near Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh on 26 September.
Incidents on train derailments have increased in the past few months.
The most recent incident was on 23 September, when a bogie of an Agra-Gwalior passenger train derailed near Agra Cantonment area, but no injuries were reported.
