1. Toddler Raped by Man in Front of His Children

In a shocking incident, a one- and-a-half-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 33-year-old man in the presence of his two children, the police said today.

The incident took place yesterday and the accused was arrested today, they said.

The girl had gone to her neighbour's house to play with their two children -- a four-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter.

While his wife was on the terrace for some work, the accused raped the girl in presence of his two children inside his one-room accommodation, a senior police official said.

After the girl returned home, her mother found her bleeding from the private parts and took her to a hospital where it was found that she had been sexually assaulted, he said.

For three hours, a 19-year-old college girl was tied up and raped by four men, who took breaks for tea and gutka before returning to assault her repeatedly under a bridge in the heart of Bhopal.

What happened after the rapists let her go was no less horrifying. Three police stations refused to take her complaint — although both her parents are in police — and a GRP officer mocked her for "coming with a filmy story".

The parents — her father is a sub inspector with a security force and mother with the CID — and the girl nabbed two of the suspects in a dramatic daylight scuffle on Wednesday. Only then was a complaint registered. An embarrassed police force suspended SI RN Tekam of MP Nagar police station on Thursday for not accepting her complaint.

3. 1 Year on, Another Con Call Centre Busted, 11 Held

4. Man Tied to Tree, Beaten to Death: Police Struggle to Find Witnesses

The Thane police, which suspended two constables for allegedly not intervening when a man was tied upside down to a tree and beaten to death by people in Dombivli on 26 October, are struggling to find witnesses in the case. A minute-long video clip that captured the incident where the man, still unidentified, was beaten up by villagers in Khoni village led to the arrests of three persons and suspension of two police constables of Manpada police station.

Senior Inspector, Manpada police station, Gajanan Kabdule, said: “While we have arrested three villagers, we have information that more people were involved in beating up the man. But the local villagers are tight-lipped about the number of people involved in the attack.”

The student has alleged that accused Charuhas Naik (60) forcibly inserted a crystal into her private parts during “treatment”.

Naik has told the police that the girls’ statement was true but said he had asked her to insert the crystal herself. He also claimed that it was part of the crystal healing therapy, considered a ‘pseudoscience’.
