Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi has been hailed and hated in equal measure for his supposedly “overzealous” policing in the case of JNU, and his “less-than-zealous” policing in the case of the Patiala House Court attacks.
Even as journalists were taking out solidarity marches for members of their fraternity who were roughed up by lawyers inside the court premises, Bassiji called it a “minor incident”.
Anurag Verma created this series of photo posters, to say that Bassi’s actions and statements are in fact, not to appease his political bhadralok, but a reflection of who he is in life, “unimpressed in general”, as the writer puts it.
