Announced in Google I/O earlier this year, the Allo chat app is finally on devices across the world.

So, when The Quint’s tech editor Ankit Vengurlekar downloaded the app and was chatting with a colleague on planning to watch the movie Pink, he found out about the show timings, all without even leaving the chat window.

My ambition in life is to become a good character actress.
‘Silk’ Smitha, in an ‘84 Filmfare Interview

Just that none of the producers or directors of her time could see beyond her skin, or above her neck, or through their libido-addled vision. Except, of course for Bharathiraja, and Balumahendra. But her performances in a handful of movies ought to remind the industry, and the men who depended on her for pleasure, on what they’ve truly missed out on.
