Former Indian bowler S. Sreesanth has expressed confidence of playing for the country in the next world cup scheduled for 2019. BCCI is yet to give him any positive indication towards that, however, despite consistent efforts put in by Kerala Cricket Association.

I will wait for the BCCI decision as I know there are people there who have a heart in the BCCI. If not today, tomorrow, I know the ban will be lifted. I have waited all this while and I know I will through performance make it to the Indian team for the 2019 World cup. And if not, I will at least play for the Kerala team.
— S Sreesanth.

While the 32-year-old bowler has already started training, Kerala CM Oommen Chandy said there is hope that BCCI will lift the ban.
