Two mentally challenged minor sisters have accused a 60-year-old director of a shelter home of raping them, Khandwa police said.

The incident came to light when the two sisters escaped from the shelter home in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, and registered complaints with the police.

While one of the survivors is 13 years old, the other is 15 years old. Both of them were staying in a shelter home for people with disability, where the accused, Poonamchand Malviya, is the director.

According to the younger of the two sisters, Malviya called her to his room on Sunday night on the pretext of giving her food, and sexually assaulted her when she went there.
