Shehzad Poonawalla, the Secretary of the Maharashtra Congress was invited for a debate on CNN News 18, along with Tarek Fatah, the Pakistan-born Canadian activist.

During the debate, things got heated between the two and Bhupendra Chaubey had to step in to calm them down. But, after the debate, Fatah allegedly assaulted Poonawalla.

Poonawalla claims Fatah allegedly hit him after the cameras shut off. He whipped out his camera to show the world Fatah’s “real” face and put their altercation online.

The following video contains strong language and viewer discretion is advised.

The debate that brought out Fatah’s alpha-male views was on whether he could be a representative of Indian Muslims – an absurd argument since he has no Indian connect.

As self-proclaimed liberal, his arguments include spewing hate on everyone else under the garb of the said liberal outlook. He has renounced Islam on several occasions and at the recent Urdu Festival in Delhi, people demanded his ouster from the premises.
