Mumbai police team reaches Silchar in Assam to talk to the family of Siddharth Das, Indrani’s first husband.
First Version From Das Family
Indrani Mukerjea’s ex brother-in-law confirmed to Times Now that Sheena and Mikhail are the children of Indrani Mukerjea and her first husband, Siddharth Das. Siddharth’s brother Shantanu said that he saw Sheena when she was five months old.
Siddharth has not been in touch with his family for the past 10 years.
Police team had to head back to Mumbai due to heavy media presence and locals near the crime spot, who hampered the process of investigation. Police recovered several syringes from the crime spot.
Police team has reached Raigad forest and is trying to connect the dots, reports Times Now. Sanjeev Khanna, Indrani’s ex-husband, and the driver have been taken to the crime spot.
According to PTI, Sanjeev Khanna and Indrani’s driver Shyam Rai have been taken to Raigad forest to reconstruct the crime scene.
Times Now reports that Indrani Mukerjea had approached a psychiatrist to prove her son Mikhail Bora mentally ill. The psychiatrist is now under scanner and could be made another witness.
Did Indrani Want to Kill Mikhail too?
According to India Today, the police have recovered a suitcase from Indrani Mukerjea which was allegedly bought in 2012 to stuff Mikhail’s body after killing him.
There was allegedly a plan to kill Mikhail after drugging him.
Indrani Mukerjea broke down during the interrogation about the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora and said, “I hated her, but I could never kill her,” according to Mumbai Mirror.
While Indrani blamed Khanna for the murder and accused him of dragging her into the crime, he said he only agreed to kill Sheena because Indrani had promised that she would help him settle in his career and reward him handsomely.
She said that if Sheena was dead, then it must have been either Rahul or Mikhail who had murdered her but Khanna said that she was lying and that he had helped her dispose of the body. He said that she was the one who had strangled Sheena.
The driver pointed to both Indrani and Khanna and said that both of them were in the car and had killed Sheena as well as disposed of her body.
Mikhail Bora said that Indrani used to threaten Sheena with dire consequences, including death threats, and submitted audio clips as evidence to the police. He told the police that Indrani had threatened to send him to jail for his drug habit.
In a new twist to the Sheena Bora murder saga, Indrani Mukerjea and her former husband Sanjeev Khanna have blamed each other for the crime during police interrogation.
Day 4: Raigad Police Being Probed, 2nd Passport Angle, Sheena’s Warning to Peter
1. A probe against the former SP of Raigad, RD Shinde, and three other policemen for dereliction of duty in relation to the Sheena Bora Murder case was ordered by the DGP of Maharashtra, CNN-IBN reported.
2. Peter Mukerjea told investigators that Sheena had warned him on several occasions that her mother was hiding far too many things from him. He refused to be questioned alongside Indrani and her driver at Khar Police Station, instead gave a written statement. (Mumbai Mirror)
3. Rahul Mukerjea has reportedly told the police that Sheena’s passport is in his possession. He also said that Indrani used to throw a fit when he asked her how Sheena could have gone to the US when he had her passport. (Mumbai Mirror)
4. The bones and skeletal remains have been sent for forensic analysis, the police is awaiting its report. JJ Hospital handed over the bones – it had received from Raigad Police in 2012 – to the Khar police.
5. Times Now reports that Sanjeev Khanna, Indrani’s ex-husband, corroborated the sequence of events narrated by Mikhail Bora, Sheena’s brother. Mikhail had said that he was in Mumbai on the day of the murder and that his drink was spiked by his mother Indrani Mukerjea.
6. FIR says that Indrani and Sanjeev Khanna hatched a criminal conspiracy. They kidnapped Sheena, Indrani strangled her. The following day the body was taken to Raigad and disposed off.
7. Current Raigad SP Suvez Haque says that a probe has been ordered into why no case was registered when the body was recovered.
8. Sheena Bora’s car has been traced by the police. It was sold to a dealer at a cheap price, claim the police.
