Senior J&K Cop Posts Photos of Vandalised Home on Facebook

DSP Bakshi said this is the eighth time his home has been vandalised.

Senior J&K police official posted pictures of broken windows, damaged cars and his home allegedly ransacked by “security forces.”

Agitated from the never-ending violence, a senior police official from Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district took to Faceook to post pictures of his home vandalised allegedly by security forces.

Deputy superintendent of police Nisar Ahmad Bakshi uploaded a series of photographs showing broken windows, damaged cars and bikes in the locality and wrote on the social media networking site that “This is for the 8th time since 2008 that my residential house has been damaged in such a way.”

There were incidents of young men pelting stones in the area before the security forces retaliated with violence and went on a rampage mode, reported Rising Kashmir.

The Indian Express reported quoting one of Bakshi’s neighbour that at least 12 houses were vandalised in the area.

Bakshi, who is presently with the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) told TIE:

I think this is the only way to make my plea reach the higher officials and the deputy commissioner.

The DSP’s post was widely shared on Facebook, with comments expressing anger and frustration at the frequent clashes and vandalism in the state.
