Responding to a petition filed in the Supreme Court to stop the government from funding separatists in Jammu & Kashmir, Judge Anil Dave, reportedly, said, “We also share the same feelings. Everybody sitting here feels the same.”
The judge’s response came after Advocate ML Sharma filed his petition. Sharma is also the lawyer for one of the main accused in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape case.
The PIL, reportedly, seeks to stem funding to separatists for foreign travel and other expenses. It says that more than 100 crore is spent on separatists by the government.
