The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the conviction of former UP chief secretary Neera Yadav and ex-IAS officer Rajiv Kumar in the 1993-95 Noida land allotment scam.

In Yadav's case, the court awarded a two-year imprisonment, reducing the sentence from three years which was awarded by the Allahabad High Court. The ex-chief secretary has already spent 14 months in jail.

Kumar too has been awarded two-year imprisonment.

Yadav served as the chairperson and chief executive officer in-charge of Noida when the fraudulent allotment of land to a company called Flex Industries took place.
