Alimuddin’s elder brother Sahmuddin Ansari told The Quint:
When asked if the family has been threatened directly, Alimuddin’s elder brother said they had not, but that that didn’t mean they didn’t feel constantly intimidated:
Ramgarh Superintendent of Police, Kishore Kaushal, said he would investigate the matter.
Another senior police official, on condition of anonymity, said her death seems to be an accident and not motivated.
Alimuddin has 6 children who relied entirely on him for survival. The court trial, in an environment of intimidation, continues to obstruct the path to justice for a family that is yet to fully recover from the loss of a loved one.
