The husband of a hostel warden allegedly sexually abused two minor girls of a government-run boarding school in Rajasthan's Alwar district, police officials told ANI.

The hostel warden invited the students to her house, after which her husband allegedly sexually abused the girls, according to ANI.

An FIR against the hostel warden Neel Kamal Yadav and her husband Naresh Yadav was registered at the Kishangarh Bas police station on Saturday, 2 March, The Times of India reported.

"A case of molestation has been registered against accused after two girls complained of molestation by warden’s husband. Questioning is underway," investigating officer Neha Aggarwal said, according to ANI.

A case has been registered under Section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the SC/ST Atrocities Act against the accused.

Ramkesh Yadav – another accused who used to allegedly abuse the girls at the house – is on the run, The Times of India report said.

The details came to light when the minor girls handed over a written complaint to the school principal, who had gone to the hostel on Saturday night to distribute sweets to celebrate the return of IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman from Pakistan.

Several girls, who were allegedly molested by the accused, were hesitant to come forward but they signed the letter and demanded stringent action, the TOI report added.

The education department has recorded the statements of the complainants and issued orders to immediately remove the hostel guards, an official said.
