MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s protest march resulted in a case against MNS leaders.
After the horrific stampede at Elphinstone Station, MNS chief Raj Thackeray called on the city dwellers on Thursday to join him in a protest rally against the poor facilities at the suburban railway stations in the city without the permission of the Police.
Even after Mumbai Police denied permission, MNS leader Nitin Sardesai refused to bend, which resulted in the Mumbai Police registering a case against him and other MNS leaders under Section 37(1) E & 135 of Maharashtra police Act for organising Morcha without permission.
At the rally, a poster showed a cartoon where Raj Thackeray is cracking a whip on a kneeling PM Modi, CM Fadnavis and BJP President Amit Shah.
MNS Chief Raj Thackeray joined in the workers protest.
A day after the stampede, Raj Thackeray had lashed out at PM Modi for his bullet train project. He pointed out that basic infrastructure needs to be in place before aiming for ambitious projects.
He also said the breakdown of infrastructure was caused by the influx of migration in the city.
