Over 200 people have died in floods across Bengal, Bihar and Assam. As per reports, the situation in Assam and Bihar continues to worsen even as there might be some respite for Bengal. In Assam, 10 new deaths have been reported in the second wave of floods, displacing 33 lakh people, while the death toll in Bihar has risen to 72. The situation is especially bad in North Bihar where rivers are flowing above the danger mark. Train services in many areas remain affected have been affected.

A 10-year-old rape survivor from Chandigarh, whose petition to abort her baby was rejected by the SC last month, gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday. The girl had allegedly been repeatedly raped by her uncle. Fortunately, though, both mother and daughter are healthy and the girl’s parents are strongly standing by her. The Child Welfare Committee will put the child up for adoption. The surrender of the baby to the committee will happen on Thursday.

State-owned Chinese news agency Xinhua's latest attack on India is a video called '7 sins of India'. The video, which accuses India of pretending to sleep and breaking international law with a supposed incursion in Doklam, features a turbaned man with a god-awful fake beard and a funny accent and has been termed by many in social media as racist.

HBO can't seem to get over its hacking woes, the latest casualty being the network's social media accounts. A group called OurMine has taken responsibility for the hack, claiming that they were testing HBO's internet security and that the network should come to them for help.
