1. Mother Murder’s Two Daughters on Suspicion of Abuse by Husband

A 41-year-old woman allegedly murdered her two minor daughters by slitting their throats with broken glass after suspecting that her husband was “sexually harassing” the elder one.

The accused, a housewife, identified as Rajani, broke a glass bottle and slit throats of her two daughters aged eight and three at her residence in Teacher’s Colony and left the house

Her husband, Vinay, a businessman, who returned to the house at around 9.30 pm, did not find his wife but noticed the bodies of his daughters lying in a pool of blood in the bedroom and informed the police.

After the incident, the accused went to Tank Bund and washed her hands and legs and then walked back to their house and surrendered before the police.

A case was booked under section 302 (murder) of IPC and probe is on.

2. Abducted Kid Found Dead Near Railway Station in Secundrabad

A 15-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped and later found dead near Secunderabad railway station, according to a PTI report. The body of the victim was found in a carton.

Abhay, a class 10 student, had gone to bring tiffin from a hotel on Wednesday night but did not return home. Later, his father lodged a missing complaint with Shahinayath Gunj police station.

A missing case was registered and a probe was launched. At around 10 PM, one of Abhay’s relatives received a phone call that threatened and demanded a ransom of Rs 10 crore for the boy’s safe release.

When the police found the body of the victim in a carton, his hands were tied and he seemed to have been smothered to death.

The police are collecting details and further investigation is underway.

3. Man Beaten to Death for Allegedly Stealing Watch

A man was beaten to death at Sathi village in the Banda district of Uttar Pradesh for allegedly stealing a watch.

According to police, Kothari (42) was beaten badly by Chunmun Patel with sticks, resulting in serious injuries.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead. An FIR has been lodged in this connection. The accused is absconding.

4. One Held for Sexually Assaulting Minor in Odisha

Police arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the rape of a minor girl in Odisha’s Kendrapara district.

According to PTI report, the accused Sanjay Mallik (28), a native of Shyamsundar village has confessed to the crime.

Police said that the victim, studying in class VI, was allegedly sexually assaulted on March 15. The police swung into action following an FIR lodged by victim’s relatives and arrested the accused. The victim was medically examined and her statement has been recorded.

The accused was booked under sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012, IPC 376 (Rape), section 557 (Assault or criminal force in attempt wrongfully to confine a person), section-342 (wrongful confinement) and section-506 (criminal intimidation).

5. Firearms Dealer Arrested in Thane

A suspected firearms supplier was arrested from Thane on Thursday, according to a PTI report. The accused was arrested in connection with a case registered in 2013, police said.

Avinash Kailash Prasad alias Chhatrapal was apprehended by the sleuths of the Anti-Robbery Cell (ARC) of crime branch from Wagle Estate area of Thane. He allegedly supplied firearms to three people, identified as Dayanand Jatan, Suresh Yadav and Gaurav Sharma, who were arrested from suburban Ghatkopar in 2013.

Police had recovered two pistols and 10 rounds from the trio. Chatrapal was booked under relevant sections of the Arms Act and has been remanded in police custody till March 21, police said.

6. Five Booked for Allegedly Raping a Woman

A 27-year-old woman was allegedly raped by five people at Tewda village in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

According to police, the incident occurred on Wednesday when the woman was brought near a jungle by the five accused who then raped her.

A case of gang-rape against the five accused, including a former candidate of Lok Sabha elections, Musa has been registered.

Meanwhile, some locals met the police officers and alleged that the accused have been falsely implicated and the case is a result of old enmity.

No arrest has been made so far.

7. Eve Teasing Leads to Clash in Two Groups, Youth Arrested

Six people were injured after a clash broke out between two groups of different communities over eve-teasing of a girl in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, the two groups started pelting stones at each other after the eve-teasing came to light. Six people were injured in the clash.

Security was tightened in the area as a result of the clash. The situation is under control, the police added.

One youth has been arrested for allegedly eve-teasing the girl.

8. Minor Girl Raped in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh

An 11-year-old mentally disabled girl was raped in Dipiya village in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, the girl had gone to the agriculture field along with other children in the afternoon when she was raped by some unidentified youth.

The family members who launched a hunt when she did not return home found her in the field.

A case has been registered and further investigations are on.

9. Minor Raped By Landlord’s Son in Uttar Pradesh

A 14-year-old girl was raped by her landlord’s son in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, according to PTI report.

The incident took place on Wednesday when the victim was alone at home.

The police have registered a report under relevant sections and the victim has been sent for medical examination.

No arrests have been made yet as the accused is absconding.
