A 22-year-old man has been arrested in south Hyderabad for allegedly having unnatural sex with a dog who was found dead.
Police are investigating whether the man, identified as Aslam Khan, strangled the animal, or if she died during the act.
The suspect has told the police that he moved from Delhi two days ago to work as a daily wager. He was spotted in some bushes this morning by neighbours in his act of bestiality.

A five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 34-year-old neighbour at Haiderpur in Shalimar Bagh on Sunday evening. A case has been registered under sections of rape and POCSO Act but the youth is still absconding. The girl has been hospitalised.
Police said the girl, a nursery student, was playing with her friends outside her house in the northwest Delhi colony, while her mother was preparing dinner. The accused allegedly called her to a corner and lured her with the promise of chocolates and cold drinks. The girl agreed, and went with the man to the secluded area. The youth is married and works at a shoe factory.

Police on Monday raided gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli's Dagdi chawl in Byculla in connection with a hawala transaction, bringing back memories of the late 1990s.
A special squad led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (zone III) Pravin Padwal carried out the massive raid at former Gawli aide Anil Pisaal's residence and found Rs 11 lakh. Pissal had four offences registered against him, including cases of kidnapping, rioting and assault.

The Uttamnagar police on Saturday arrested a 23-year-old actor for allegedly raping his co-actor after promising marriage.
According to the police complaint, the incident allegedly took place in March and June, 2015. The accused works in Marathi television serials as well as plays and hails from Talegaon.

A passenger was on Monday detained at the city airport for allegedly carrying three pieces of gold bars in his rectum, airport police said.
The bars, weighing 251 grams and valued Rs. 7,60,630, were found during a search of the passenger, a resident of Delhi, by the the Air Intelligence Unit of the NSC Bose International Airport.

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her 21-year-old neighbour at suburban Powai on Sunday, police said.
The incident came to light after the parents of the girl, a resident of Filter Pada, approached police to lodge a missing complaint, they said.
While police registered a case under Section 363 (punishment for kidnapping) of the IPC, during the investigation they found that a youth staying in the neighbourhood of the girl was also missing.
The youth, whose name has been withheld, has been booked for rape and under Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act (POCSO), and efforts are on to trace him.

Two cab drivers and a security supervisor of a multi-national firm were on Sunday arrested in separate cases of sexual harassment of women professionals.
According to police, on the intervening night of 21-22 October, a woman employee of an MNC took the company car about 1:30 am to return home in Alwal area.
“As she was the lone passenger, the security supervisor (of the company) said he would accompany her. Though as a matter of policy he should have sat in the front seat, he sat in the rear seat,” a release from Cyberabad police said.
During the journey, the supervisor allegedly misbehaved with her. She asked the driver to stop the car but he did not do that with the intention to support the misbehaviour of the supervisor, police said.

A 32-year-old woman was on Sunday shot at allegedly by a man in Najafgarh area of south west Delhi, police said.
Reena, who works as an executive in a travel agency, sustained gun shot injuries on her shoulder around 7:30 am, they said.
She was rushed to a hospital where her condition is said to be stable, a police official said.
A case has been registered and also the alleged attacker was identified, he said, adding he would be nabbed soon.

Police have arrested a Haridwar native, who had allegedly murdered a woman class-IV railway employee Pooja Jadhav and dumped her body beneath a culvert on Kuvadva Road.
The accused Rajendra Sardari Lalseti, 32, was caught from Haridwar, crime branch sources said.
