New bride Neha Rathi, aged 21, had to spend a morning after her wedding in a room all by herself with a foul smell emanating from inside.
She had been married for only 12 hours when she found out that her husband, Naveen Khatri, has been charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 21-year-old Aarzoo Singh, whose body was found in a ventilation shaft of the house on February 7.
A police team arrived at the house and pulled out a decomposed body from the shaft. Till then, Neha had no clue that she had shared the room with a corpse, reports The Indian Express.
According to The Times of India, Delhi Police is looking for at least two men, including a labourer hired for erecting a tent, who may have helped Naveen Khatri, who had strangled his 23-year-old girlfriend Arzoo Singh Chauhan.
Police also questioned Khatri’s father Raj Kumar, who had been absconding since the incident on Tuesday.

Dr Shashi Kumar, accused of opening fire on his business partner over a dispute, committed suicide in a farmhouse at Nakkalapally in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Dr Kumar killed himself with the same weapon, hours after the attack. His body was found with bullet injuries when the police team reached the scene.
According to Deccan Chronicle, a suicide note, purportedly written by Shashi, was recovered from the farmhouse. In the note, Kumar claimed that he had not shot Dr Uday Kumar, his business partner, and alleged that their other partner, Dr Sai Kumar, had opened fire on Uday.
“We are verifying the allegations made in the suicide note,” the Assistant Commissioner of Police said.

The owner, Abdul Hassan, however, was arrested under CrPC 107 & 151.
The goat named Babli was arrested on Monday and was booked under charges which could have resulted in a jail term of two to seven years and a fine.

A few days after a Nigerian student was attacked in the Tolichowki area, a Nigerian techie was attacked in Bowenpally area of Hyderabad on Monday night, Deccan Chronicle reports.
The incident occurred when the 23-year-old youth, E Sohail, working for a software firm in Begumpet, was walking home after getting down at the bus stop. When he was a few minutes away from home, two bikers came from behind and hit him on the head and neck with their hands and sped away.
As he tried to get up, the bikers came back to attack him.
Later, he rushed home and with the help of some of his friends, he filed a complaint with the police.
