Ever wondered what the perfect female body type was? Well, look no further, as a Class XII CBSE textbook has finally delivered the verdict by declaring 36-24-36 as the “best” body shape for females.
But the CBSE doesn’t seemed too pleased with all of this and has registered an FIR against the publisher of the text book, New Saraswati House, a little over a week after the offensive line was first spotted.
A statement issued by the board said that the FIR was filed for the “indecent depiction of women and misrepresenting the syllabus prescribed” in the textbook.
The discovery was first made by a Twitter user named Arjun Khurana.
The News Minute posted photos of the textbook which also went on to say that the 36-24-36 shape is what’s preferred in Miss World and Miss Universe contests. The textbook did not stop there as it also reminded students that for men V-shape is “the best”.
The book is published by New Saraswati House and is taught to CBSE students of Class XII, but the NCERT has not brought it out.
This is not the first time that CBSE has been under fire for the kind of content that’s being passed off in textbooks with Class IV children being asked to kill kittens in the name of science experiments.
