Pathankot Attack: Time for Modi to Focus on India, Says Shiv Sena

The party accuses Modi of trying to ‘unite the world’and not paying attention to his own country.

Lashing out at the Central government in the wake of the Pathankot militant attack, the Shiv Sena said on Tuesday that it had warned Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to trust Pakistan and that time has now come for him to focus on India rather than trying to unite the world.

<p> The attack has proven that our borders are not safe, India’s internal security is in shambles and the only national work being done is giving condolences to the martyred on social networking sites. </p>

The editorial further read “seven of our soldiers get martyred in return of a cup of tea with Nawaz Sharif...The incident has proven that our borders are not safe and our internal security is in shambles. With the lives of six terrorists, Pakistan has managed to finish India’s self-respect”.

<p> The Prime Minister was in Lahore only last week as a guest of his counterpart Nawaz Sharif. At that time, we had warned him not to trust Pakistan...See how we have been betrayed today. If Pakistan wants to improve relations with India, they should immediately hand over Jaish-e-Mohammad’s Maulana Masood Azhar to India. </p>

The Sena appreciated the Congress party and said that if it were in power, the party would have avenged the death of the soldiers but nothing was being done by the BJP-led government.

The Sena also said that if India did not avenge the Pathankot terror attack, then displaying its military and arms and ammunition strength on Republic Day would be futile.
