Suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) bomb maker Abdul Karim Tunda was acquitted in the Panipat blast case on Thursday. The court acquitted Tunda due to lack of any evidence.
Since no witnesses were produced in the case by the police, Additional District and Sessions Judge Vedprakash Sirohi decreed that Tubda be discharged under the Explosive Substance Act.
Tunda was arrested from the India-Nepal border in 2013. He was charged with orchestrating LeT's major terror attacks outside Jammu and Kashmir. He’s been accused in 43 bomb blasts in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Rohtak and Jalandhar.
