Suspected militants opened fire at an Indian Army patrol group in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tral town in Pulwama district on the afternoon of 13 May. The area has been sealed off and the Army is carrying out a combing operation to flush out antisocial elements.
Meanwhile, two civilians were killed as the Pakistan Army continued its to violate ceasefire in Nowshera sector in J&K’s Rajouri district. Another ceasefire violation was reported in Rajouri district’s Majakote area.
According to an official statement, the Indian Army has been retaliating strongly to the ceasefire violations. The district administration has deployed rescue teams and have set up rescue camps in Majakote and Nowshera.
