Pahlaj Nihalani Acts Sour After Losing Bet Over ‘Intercourse’

On June 23 Censor Board chief, Pahlaj Nihalani had asked Mirror Now to get one lakh votes to get the word 'intercourse' cleared from the promos of Shah Rukh Khan-Anushka Sharma-starrer film Jab Harry Met Sejal.

If you take a vote from the public, I will definitely promise you that I will clear this word (intercourse) on the picture and the promo also. If you get one lakh votes on this poll, it will mean the world has completely changed, India is changing and families want their 12-year-old children can understand what this word means.

Not to forget, he added a condition which said, “I'd accept votes only from people who are married and above the age of 36.”

A week later Nihalani lost the bet after the channel successfully managed to gather the majority votes. Here’s the result:

After a reporter cornered Nihalani in an elevator, in order to get his reaction to the poll, the censor board chief clearly regretted making the bet. It was hilarious how uncomfortable Nihalani got. Watch it yourself.
