According to Rakesh Yadav, the CEO of Sigma-Aldrich, the meeting was constructive and “optimistic.”
John Rice, the CEO of General Electric (GE), concurred.
The CEO of Marriott International, Arne M Sorenson, lauded Modi’s desire to see India perform better.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that media companies present at the meeting with the Prime Minister agreed that India presented a huge market for them. CEOs were of the view that the changes the PM is making to ease business should be accelerated.
Modi stressed that reforms remain his highest priority. He said that although foreign direct investments (FDI) all over the world have fallen, investments in India have increased.
Modi has invited the President of Guyana and the Prime Ministers of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to visit India. The MEA said that the President of Guyana and Modi discussed the state of bilateral relations between the two countries in the meeting.

Ministry of External Affairs sources have said that, at his roundtable meeting on ‘Media, Technology & Communications-Growth Story for India’ with CEOs of the Media sector in the US, Prime Minister Modi highlighted India’s commitment to protect IPR and said it was essential in order to foster creativity.

The PM is said to focus on various investment options for India during the meeting.
Vikas Swarup, Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, informed that the PM presented his vision for India to the CEOs of these US-based financial organisations.

On September 25, PM Modi will be attending the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit from 25-27 September.
He will address a summit on 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals on September 25.
