Former Karnataka minister and ‘chief troubleshooter’ of the Congress DK Shivakumar is lodged in the Tihar Jail in New Delhi, where another Congress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram is housed, reported India Today.
However, it is unlikely that the two leaders will meet or interact with each other in jail, sources told India Today.
Incidentally, Chidambaram’s son Karti was also lodged in the cell for 12 days last year.
Shivakumar’s other neighbours include Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front’s (JKLF) separatist leader Yasin Malik, AgustaWestland middleman Christian Michel and corporate lobbyist Deepak Talwar.
Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday had ordered for Congress leader DK Shivakamar to be sent to judicial custody till 1 October and on Thursday, a special CBI court extended the judicial custody of P Chidambaram till 3 October, in connection with the INX Media corruption case.
